Michael S. Blumenthal graduated from Penn State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He later earned his Juris Doctorate at the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C.

After graduating, Mr. Blumenthal worked as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James P. Salmon, who is presently an Associate Judge of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He next gained invaluable litigation experience while serving as an Assistant State's Attorney with the Office of the State's Attorney for Prince George's County, Maryland, ultimately earning a position in the office's Major Crimes Unit.

Subsequent thereto, Mr. Blumenthal opened his own law practice focusing the practice in the areas of Personal Injury and Criminal Law. He has served as defense counsel in numerous high-profile cases, testified before the State House of Delegates Judiciary Committee in reference to the development of D.N.A. databases, and has, to date, tried in excess of 450 criminal trials.

He is a member of the American, Maryland State, and Prince George's County Bar Associations and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
